Hey everyone..I hope the New year finds all of you healthy and fabulous...Me not so much.

So its been a while..A long while and I fell off the wagon, hard and feel like I hit rock bottom.
So we did it we got married it was great and I Love Vinny with all my heart but here it is the comtentment weight the he loves me no mater what size I am....and I put about 20 pounds back on pushing me closer to a weight I thought I would never have to see again. I don't know what to do I signed back up for the gym..I have a job that keeps me at my desk most of the day and try not to eat anything heavy for lunch but I see my portions are larger and I am eating foods I should. Please tell me how to break this cycle I see it getting worse.

    Wink Welcome Back

Hi Bridgett Congratulations on your marriage to Vinny. I wish you all the health and Happiness that you deserve.

Ok so back to reality you said you have fallen hard again and gained weight. Well as you know from previous meetings that you inspired a few people to face that too. I am one of them. Although it took me a little longer to get it together, again I finally can say I have. I am not posting here to boost about my loss but to tell you to come back to the meetings. You know as well as anyone else that they are an important part of being successful. Our next meeting is Tuesday January 19 and it is our first one for the New Year. So, come back and don't worry about the past. Put it all behind you and move on. Take control of your life again. We are all here to help you. It is nice that Vinny says he will Love you know matter what size you are but sorry to say it is not about Vinny. It is about you BRIDGETTE and how you feel about yourself. Obviously, you are not happy with what you see or you wouldn't have posted again and you wouldn't have reached out to us for guidance. You know all this already but sometimes reading it and attending a group meeting will help you again get back on that journey that you loved so much. I hope you don't take all that I said to be mean because it is not meant to be that way. I know what it is like to gain weight back after losing it all and then six years later gain back 30 lbs. It took a few more meetings after the one that you attended and poured your heart out to us. Ok maybe more then a few but attending them and joining Spark People have helped me so much. Along with Pat, our Nutritionist she told me the amount of calories I should be having each day. Taking all of that and joining Planet Fitness I have been doing great.

You already took the first step by coming here and you took the second step by joining a gym. Your third step will be coming back to the meetings. You can do it Bridgett and we are all here for you. If you need to talk, you can email me and we can exchange numbers if you want. Together we can help each other. Good luck and I hope to see you at the meeting and posting here.

    Hi Bridgett,

You know we are here and will welcome you back with open arms. You were such an inspiration to others when you came the last time that hopefully we can work it out, because we have all been through the challenges in one form or another.

The meetings still have the open forum where everyone tells whats bothering them and we all try to talk and offer our feelings and try to help everyone get through their own obstacles.

Please try to come back and give us a try again, OK?

    Hope to see you there,

    Jamie

Dear Bridget: It takes a brave woman to make a change using surgery and you are a brave woman. I suppose you could say that "wrong directions" and "not expected outcomes" are a part of life we learn from. I'm so happy you were brave enough to post. As I have said before and from my own personal experience I can tell you it's much easier to post when everything is just peachy and you are making progress by leaps and bounds.

You belong to a group that takes sharing and encouraging one another very seriously. There is never any judgment involved since where you find yourself right now anyone could find themselves in tomorrow. After all, the longer we live we learn that all kind of things happen to us we thought would never happen: some good, some not so good.

So we are with you. My prayers and thoughts are with you that your spirits will be lifted and that you will find a simple yet workable plan you can fit into your own life that will bring good results for you.

    Keep posting.

    Many thoughts with you,
    Annie

Hi Bridgett. I don't know if this will help you, but I used to use food to reward myself. Now I see food as FUEL, and use other things to reward myself (manicures & pedicures, long baths, new clothes, etc.)

I try to only put FUEL in my body - foods that are rich in protein, fiber, complex carbs, etc. - and don't eat any empty calories. Also, if I wanted bigger portions (back in the days I could eat bigger portions, lol) I ate bigger portions; I just made sure they were low-calorie and raw foods, like fresh vegetables.

Just the fact that you've vocalized your concerns tells me that you're on your way back. I wish you the best of luck!!!
