Dear friends,
I'm not doing too well at the moment.......the endocrinologist is making me take a blood test on Monday and putting my surgery on hold. Evidently a urine test I took had high levels of cortisol.
I talked to Dr. Allam and he said he would do the surgery by the end of next week.....
I've been crying my eyes out.....
I just wanted to let you know. And I will let you know what happens when I do.
Please don't call me. I'm too upset to talk right now.
Thanks for understanding.
Love,
Cathy

Cathy hang in there. Sometimes we hit a bump in the road but then all will work out. If Dr. Allam told you that he would be doing the surgery at the week then believe him. If they found something and want to check it out it is better to be safe then sorry. Things happen for a reason even though you can't see that now. All will work out so stop worrying.
Just keep thinking positive. You made a decision to change your life by having the surgery. So, let them make sure that all is ok for you to proceed.
I will try to phone you.
Best
Sissy

Cathy, I'm so sorry about your delay. I had one too & I also cried my eyes out. But in the end things worked out & I took it as a confirmation as to how much I wanted this surgery. Try to keep positive & trust that you too will soon be on the losing side. Darla cry 2 (Crying with You)

C'mon Cathy,
Cheer up a little. Wouldn't you rather have everything on the up & up going into surgery than later & running into problems while you're recouperating?! Keep in mind, it's not even a full week. And stop that crying!!! Take it from me...no matter how much you cry, your weight remains the same (until after surgery) hahaha. Hey!!! I've got a goodie bag w/your name on it waiting, so keep us posted. You've come this far, getting upset isn't going to make it come any faster. We've been in worse perdicaments in our lives & just keep in mind that there are folks out there in our situations that don't even have this kind of oportunity for surgery. So, that being said, how truly lucky are we? Go & enjoy your Valentine's Day w/your hubby & know that as disappointing as it is, it's still just around the corner.
Hey!! Did I ever tell you about the time I worked at my cousins deli & was serving coffee to the morning crowd when my cousin noticed I had tucked my skirt into my stockings from behind?!! And you thought you had problems. :)
Sorry about the typo's, I thought you'd find those funny too.
Anita
