I'd like to thank all of you who responded to my previous post re: my emotions about getting my surgery date, it helped to know many of you had a lot of the same feelings. The day is almost here!!! Monday Nov 14!! I'm so ready. My husband,my best friend and her husband and I just got back from a weeks cruise in the southern caribbean...some last hurrah!. So I'm rested, tan and ready to go! If you remember my thoughts about rainbows...well one morning on the cruise we got up early, went up on deck and saw the most perfect rainbow I've ever seen. I told my friend, look it's a sign. I forgot she took a picture of it. Yesterday at work I found a card on my desk, which said "hang in there, your rainbow is almost here". Inside the card was a picture of our rainbow, and a picture of us together which she wrote on the back should be my before picture. I have the best friend anyone could ask for. So, please think of me on Monday, say a little prayer that all goes smoothly, and I'll see all of you at the Dec. meeting. Chris

It sounds to me that you are going to do just fine. You already have the best support with you that is your Husband Family and friends. Of course you will have all of us praying for you to your extended family.
You are going to be going on the best journey in your life starting Monday. It is a journey that might be a little Rocky in the first few weeks but it is one that smoothes out with time. Get ready for a NEW YOU. Get ready for all this extra energy you will soon see you have. Best yet just get ready there is a New You about to Appear. Just remember that it is so very important to 7_2_118.gi 7_2_118.gi 7_2_118.gi It really does help.
God Bless and May you have a speedy painless as can be recovery. vxmdz

Congrats on your quickly approaching surgery date. I remember my own date. The morning I went to the hospital it didn't feel like I was going for a regular "something is wrong" surgery. Sure I was nervous, but deep down inside was a joy, kind of like having a baby. I knew it would be difficult at first and maybe not just what I expected but after a while the joy would come. I remember thinking I wasn't sick and what I was doing would help me to be healthier, not only look better. Even though I am doing exactly the same things in my family, taking care of people and the responsibilities we all share, I can tell you I am doing it with more happiness and energy than I've had in many, many years. Prayers are with you! All will be well.
