SEPTEMBER 2005

Welcome to September’s newsletter. For those of you who were not able to make our last support meeting this is what we discussed.
Dr Allam is going to change our format a little differently in hopes that everyone will get a share in talking and asking questions.
We are still going to go around the room to introduce ourselves. Then he will talk to us about any new medical news or events coming up.
Pat will also talk and let us know if there are any new nutrition things that we need to know. Such as any new protein products out on the market. Maria will also have a turn to talk with us.
We will be having a topic for discussion each month. It will be posted on the website, so keep an eye out for it. If you think that it will interest you please write down your questions and bring them to our next meeting. We will also have guest speakers such as Dr DeBellis, who gave us a great presentation at our last meeting. Thank you Dr DeBellis, that was very interesting. We talked and saw slides about Facial Aesthetics. So if you are thinking about this call Dr DeBellis for a consultation.

Dr Allam said that we would also still be able to interact with each other.
After all, we are what make up the support group.
Please bear with us regarding the new changes. If you are not happy with the changes or maybe want to add something to it please contact Dr Allam or you can post something on the message board.

Ed, one of our patients that night, added up everyone’s weight loss as we went around the room. He came up with the grand total of 3046 LBS that those who attended last months meeting have lost between them. WOW that’s a lot of weight when you start to think about it.

Message board
Please visit it and post. I notice that there are lots of new members but it’s still only the same few who are posting. We want everyone to use the board as much as possible. It is there for us to use, especially between support meetings, it certainly is for me. So please start to use it. Post whatever you want to that relates to our surgery.
