Beer And Wine

Hi Pat;

I Was Wondering If You Know The Sugar Content In Wine And Beer. I Am Attending A Wedding This Month And Would Like To Have A Drink While I Am There. I Have Tried To Find Out The Sugar Content In Both But I Haven't Had Much Luck. I Certainly Don't Want To End Up Dumping While At A Family Wedding. Thank You.

Hi Kim,
Good question. Beer does contain carbohydrate not sugar. A regular 12 oz beer contains about 13 grams of carbohydrate. A light beer contains about 5 grams of carbohydrate. Wine on the other hand is different. I would suggest white or red only( no coolers or dessert wine). they contain about 1-2 grams PER 1/2 cup or 4 ounces.
