My name is Sandy, I am a 40 year old single mom. I heard of DR Allam from my aunt who had her surgery in May 2002. I wrote to him in desperation. He responded to me with compassion and understanding and told me to call Jeannie. I live in Florida and on September 24, 2003, I boarded a plane with my son to make a decision which would change and improve my life. I weighed 380 in June of 2003 and was wearing a 26/28 and 30/32. I had my gastric bypass on October 9, 2003 and now weigh 251, down 129+ pounds and my life has improved and changed for the better. Since my surgery I no longer required diabetic medication, my cholesterol is normal and my blood pressure also. I can never thank DR Allam for taking a chance on me, and doing my surgery. If you are considering the surgery, make sure you are willing to leave you old way of thinking behind and embark on an incredible journey. I am exercising daily and able to be a mom to my 2 year old.
