Good morning everyone.
I just wanted to ask a couple of questions.
1. I have pre-op testing tomorrow and would like to know what sort of testing they do.
2. What did everyone eat/drink the day before the surgery when you were only allowed clear liquids?
I am having my surgery on April 7th.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Christine,
Pre Op Is Just Blood Tests, Sonogram, Questions, Then You'll Talk To The Anesthesiologists And A Nurse. It's Pretty Painless. The Nurses And Everybody Involved At The Hosipital Make You Feel Very At Ease, It's Nothing To Worry About. Your Out Of There Within 3 Hours.
As For The Day Before Surgery & Testing , It Was All Jello And Chicken Broth For Me.
Good Luck Christine, I'll Be Thinking Of You.

As for the day before surgery, I drank clear broth, apple juice, water and green jello. Good luck you will be in my prayers.
This is the best gift an5.gif you could ever give to yourself, so be proud and don't worry, your in good hands a_01angel_ ..........

Hi all,
I wanted to post this information for you.
For the day prior to Gastric Bypass surgery, your diet should consist of the following, in unlimited amounts:
Juices
Puddings
Yogurts
Jell-o
Clear Soups/Bouillon
Please refrain from eating solid foods altogether. You are not to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your surgery.
Hope this helps!
