Its been 6 months post op. I've lost 105 lbs. I look and feel great. the problem is that I have a very bad back. yesterday I tried out a tread mill for 15 min. Boy let me tell you I thought that I could go another 15 min. with no problem. Well there was a problem, after the workout I sat down for a short time, when I got up my lower back was killing me. It took at least 3 min. for me to stand upright. now I'm worried that I'll do moor damage to my back if I try to workout even with the easyest things like walking.
Any ideas.
thanks Tommy Vann

Hi Tom glad to see you posting here.
As far as working out and your back I would check with your doctor who takes care of your back.
From what I have heard people with back problems might have a hard time on the treadmill. Just check we don't want to see you laid up.
We can't have you missing our support meeting.

Thank.
just a little follow up. when I got up today my hips, not my back were sore. I guess I might have over done it. I'm going to try it again tomorrow so long as my legs, back and hips will allow me to.
Don't worry I won't miss any meetings. What and miss all the fun? HA HA.

Hi Tom,
There are machines that allows you to exercise without having to be standing and stressing your back. I do not know their name but I see them in the gym. Keep up the good work and good luck.
