I made it!!!!

HI everyone! I just wanted to let you know I had my surgery a week ago today and I'm doing FANTASTIC! Wooooooohoooooooooooo! Serious! I had to stay in the hospital an extra day because I had a fever so I was bummed but I was sooooo glad to get out of there! The nursing staff was TERRIFIC...even when I whined and complained, they were wonderful. Now I'm back at home and getting adjusted to this new way of eating. It's definitely different. I know in just a few weeks I'll move on to more solid things so I am sticking to the diet 100%. I haven't had any problems yet and I don't want to. I got a little scared about the BM problems I read about so I will make sure I get enough fluids.

Angelina came to visit me in the hospital. She is so sweet! And I met Toni who was my next door neighbor in the hospital. We had the procedure done the same day and BOTH had to be kept an extra day. It was great to have someone I could talk to that was in the same situation I was.

I just want to encourage those who are new and are contemplating the surgery...I've never met a nicer bunch of people as the people on this website and the nursing staff on 2 north at the hospital. So go for your dreams!

I go to see Dr. Allam to get these itchy staples out tomorrow. I can hardly wait! Unfortunately I won't be at the support group meetings until probably June because I have night classes. But I just want to thank everyone for being there for me!

Kristin glad to hear that you are doing great. image00123 I love when I hear how happy people are after they have had the surgery. It is all behind you now. You are on a new road and I might add the right road. You are now a LOSER 11zwinky just like us. It is the best feeling in the world. Stay strong even when you hit a bump in the road. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Glad that you had Angelina to visit you in the hospital. Bobbie and I have tried to visit people in there also. It is good when you see a person that has been there where you are now. We can really relate to how you are feeling. goodscales
