Hi all. I am having some difficulty advancing my diet I am almost 8 weeks post op and I am actually going backwards! I am back to broth, soups ect... Anyone else experience this? When I have tried to advance my diet I would get sick! I heard that narrowing is a possibility? Anyone experience this? Thanks.

Yes I have heard of it. Some people have to go back in to get that fixed. If this keeps happening to you I would suggest calling Dr Allam. I would do this soon before he leaves to go away. Even if you call him tomorrow and tell him what is happening see what he says. Keep us posted here as to what is going on with you please. Call him ASAP. Don't be worried either it does happen to some patients. It is easily corrected. 11zwinky

Hi- take it very slow. Definately speak with Dr. Allam. I had trouble also but kept hearing in my head everyone telling me to chew chew chew. Even now when i rush my meals weither it be breakfast or dinner i can't keep it down. Go slow and make sure your getting your protein in and lots of water. Good luck

I had a proceedure today and it turns out I had narrowing and it was the size of a pin hole! I had it stretched and now I should be ok I might have to have it done again. It really wasn't bad compared to everything else I have had to deal with! Thanks everyone for the support! bdwink
