Hi everyone.

I just wanted to start a new thread about how people are doing after surgery. For those of you who have gone to ObesityHelp they have something like this. Bobbie and I were talking about this and how it might be good to have something like this here at our site.
I think that if someone can make an effort to maybe take on someone and follow up on that person (only if that person wants this) I think it will be great.

What we have to do is this whoever is having the surgery please tell us about that in our Surgery Date Thread. Then someone can say I will be that persons Angel and keep in touch with that one person through there surgery time. Also if anyoe is able to just stop in to make a visit to someone who had the surgery that would be great. We all know that sometimes it is hard to sit at our computers after surgery so this way that person can phone them and see how they are doing. Then they can come to this Thread Angel Reporting and post how they are doing.

I hope this works out because I do think that it is important to have someone there to talk to that has been through the surgery already.

Lets try to make this work for everyone. Thanks.

Hi everyone just wanted you to know I spoke with Diana this morning. She was waiting for dr201 Allam to come to discharge her. She was feeling pretty good. She said I drank my pro - stat I said that is great. She said it wasn't too bad. I was like if you say so. com.hap26
Any way I asked her if it was ok to give her a call in a few days at home and she said yes. So I will up date you all on her recovery.

I will say this though that her sprits are pretty up there. I believe that she is 100% happy now that the surgery is over and that she is now on the losing side.

Hi all!
I think it is a GREAT idea to have this thread.
I live very close to the hospital, and I am always willing to be there for support!
I was at the hospital today to see a beautiful young girl named Kristen.
She is doing well Thank God!! I feel her spirits are good and her mom is there staying with her. She seems totally fine.
I told her to call me if she is up to it when she gets home... so I will update more when I hear anything.
Please feel free to call upon me when new people are heading into the hospital. I am happy to help!

That is so good that she is doing so well. Glad to hear it. Angelina was she at the last meeting? Also can you private message me her last name so I can give her a call?

As far as seeing who is having the surgery what I am trying do is get people to post it in the thread Surgery Date. This way we can see who is having it and when. I think that it is great to try and visit a patient to let them know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We have been through it and hopefully we can cheer them up just a little.

I believe that it is good for them to see us and even talk to us since we know best. After all we had it too. So who better to answer maybe some questions or put to rest some fears that they might be having.

Just keep a look in that thread to check to see about surgery dates. Also if you talk to someone post it under the Angel Reporting thread. Thanks.

i know its a good act of support to visit those who have had the surgery in the hospital. i know that if i had seen someone from the support group there that it would have help. I think we also need to go beyond the peaple we always encourage and reach out to those who we give very little encouragement to. we might look good on the outside but we still may carry emotional scares from being overweight.
