Hi everyone,
I was reading some posts today and started thinking about something that I think would be a nice addition to the website. I know that a lot of times I will be reading a post and not quite remember which operation that person had, so I would have to go back to some earlier posts to look it up, or perhaps it would say it on their profile page. I thought that if we don't have any concerns that we could add some initials up by our names on the header and everytime we posted the initials would be there. Then if someone wanted to ask another person a question about that particular procedure they would see instantly which operation that particular person had. I know it would make it easier for me and I think would be benificial and informative for all. (I think Dr. Allam needs to start working on a cure for my senility!!!)
If you look at my header you will see where Regina put the initials LB, meaning that I had the Lapband. Regina did it for hers with the initials RNY, meaning she had the bypass. She also did it for Aleeya.
Does anyone have any objections about doing this to everybodies name? I don't think it is crossing any boundries, or doing anything to anyone's rights, but we wanted to see if you guys would give us some feed back and let us know how you feel. Does anyone object to this, or do they feel like I do and think it is a way to display which operation we had? We certantly don't want to offend anyone and want to do what's right for the board, but I think it is a great way to let everyone know, just by looking at your post.
Please let us know your thoughts on this matter.
Thanks all,
Jamie
Hi, just a little something I wanted to add to Jamie's post if you are interested in doing this that is great. Can you please post in this thread which surgery you had this way I can start to add the initials next to your name? I am not sure if you can do it yourself in your profile but try it. If you can great if not I will do it for you. Thanks everyone and thanks Jamie for the great idea. ;)
