Hey everyone ,Every summer I take advantage of our beautiful beaches, my kids are like fish in the water..........well before my lap band I used to take them down look for the closest spot to the parking lot,(less walking) and sit in my chair and not get up the entire day.....mind you also eating constantly.
NOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED.........................I HAVE ESTABLISHED A BEACH ROUTINE.............. it is great........

WALK ON THE SAND (along the water) 1 mile
STAND IN THE WATER UP TO MY ANKLES
(I look out in the ocean and move side to side usually talking with my children or friends- they dont even know I'm excersing)
RUN AWAY FROM THE WAVES -try to run away from the waves before they hit your feet---(my little daughter created this one)
PICK UP SHELLS ON THE BEACH - when walking pick up shells

IT IS SO COOL TO EXCERSISE WITHOUT EVEN NOTICING IT , AND RELAXING TO COOL DOWN WITH A SWIM .

All you beach goers should try this , I really enjoy it and my children are there with me.......Its great !!!!!!!!!

Hey Connie, I agree with you. I love going to the beach now and walking along the water. I also stand there watching the waves hit my ankles and move side to side. Its great and I find it to be so relaxing.

What beach do you go?

Hi Connie,

The beach routine sounds like it is fun not to mention healthy. It is a wonderful thing to use all of these beautiful rescources that we have in our area. Not only are you enjoying the beaches, you are creating memories for you and your children. I am sure your daughter will tell her children about playing in the waves with "MOM", and I even would wager that she will do the same with hers also. (see that Connie, you have just started a tradition that could go on for generations)!!!!

Talk to you soon,

Jamie
