Hello to all:

Today was my first appt. with Dr. Allam and I feel so motivated on getting all my necessary appts. in order. For those you have Empire PPO as an insurance provider, I am curious to about your experience with them. Well, I look forward to meeting to you all one day, perhaps at the next meeting in July! I feel so comfortable reading all the posts because we can all relate in one way or another.

Hi Hector welcome to the group. Glad to see that you posted on the message board. Post all your questions and concerns here. I am sure someone will answer them for you. We are all here to help one another. I can tell you this much that it is very important to follow what Dr Allam and Pat tell you to do. I had my surgery September 4th 2003 and I have lost a total of 114LBS and still losing. I feel so much better. Having the surgery was the best thing that I have done for me in a real long time. When people ask me how are you? I tell them great. When they ask me if I had any problems I say no. I also tell them that I am sorry that I didn't do this sooner and I have no regrets whats so ever. I thank Dr Allam everyday of my NEW LIFE. He helped me have a new life but the rest is up to me to keep it that way. I wish you all the best of luck in your Journey to becoming a LOSER! Thats a good thing to be a LOSER LOL.

Hi Hector

I have the same insurance, I had no problem getting an approval, my daughter who is 18 was approved aswell, and had the surgery June 10th. Make sure your PCP has a list of diets you were on for the last 6 mo to 1 year. Be general about it, write it yourself and give it to your PCP for your file so when the PCP has to look for that information he or she will have it.

Hi Hector I was just wondering how you are doing? Have you gotten all your appointments done with? Hey hope you can make it to the picnic on July 24th it would be great if you can make it. Hope to hear or see an update on you soon. ;)
