How soon after the surgery can I put my piercings back in. I have 7. 6 in my ears and 1 in my bellybutton. I'm hopeing really soon like while im still in the hospital because I really dont want them to close. Maybe if I can put some thread or something in there or if i steralize my rings if then i can put them in?? also can I wear my own robe while i walk around??? Thanx....bye.

Hey kiddo,

As far as your rings, you should ask Dr Allam. Now your robe, it will be hard, because of the iv lines, I just used the robes they gave us, they covered everything........good luck ~`elaine

I put my belly button ring and earrings back in after I got home from the hospital. You may still want to check with the Doctor as everyone is different.

Hey everyone

Im experincing bad hunger pains at times lower abdomin once I eat they go away but enogh discomfort that i wake in the middle of the night any suggestions? ... not really sure whats going on , but eating seem to fix the problem ?

You are missed, too. Hope you had a nice birthday.

As far as the hunger pains are concerned, I would suggest that you may want to be evaluated by a doctor, just to make sure that's what you are dealing with. I don't know that actual hunger pains would awaken you. I think it would be prudent to see a surgeon who is familiar with gastric bypass. You can find one in your area on ASBS.org.

today Im good not sure what it can be causing it. I think Im not eating enough actually or could be a form of constipation maybe. Ill play it by ear I may just have to fly up for a checkup
