Hi everyone, its been one week since I got my band...I feel great.....Im on hummus some tuna and advocado all real mushy and its working for me. My stomach was protesting too much on the clear liquids ( everyone is different) but I realize that I am not a sitter I have always been a mover and a do-er so my body needs the food for fuel. I actually have no desire to eat sugar at all :) I crave protein, its funny I feel like I can really listen to my body now and hear what it is saying! anyhow....does anyone know where I can buy the pro-stat and the protein tubes? somewhere in eastern suffolk county or some good websites?
oh and my day of surgery weight was 250 and 4 days ago in Dr Allams office I was ............240.........and thats without any real jump in exercise....I was way to sore and dizzy.....But like my craving for protein, I am salivating at the thought of going back to lucille roberts. Which I'll do on Monday, this weekend is swimming at the "Y" and the beach with the kids :)
I know Im like one giant run on sentence.......
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with the pro-stat and or the protein tubes:)

I was on those for a very long time and I swore by them, but I found a protein powder I like and it's cheaper for me at the current time....
Anyway.....the protein bullets I liked can be bought at any Vitamin Shoppe. Or vitaminshoppe.com, and bariatriceating.com. I've also seen them at Vitamin World stores, and even GNC sells a version like them. They call them protein slammers there, and the protein amount is a little different.
The brand I liked was IDC New Whey Protein bullets. I got the blue raspberry flavor in the 25 g protein amount. They also have them in 42 g amounts and in other flavors, fruit punch, orange and grape. Personally, I can't stand any flavor but blue raspberry.
Good luck to you, and give me an e-mail if you like, or have other questions about them!
Hugs,
Cathy

I just purchase the protein bullets at Vitamin World @ Tanger outlet. They were like $3.00 but I wanted to try the flavors before ordering them online and wasting my money because I did not like the taste. Best of luck to you!!! I am scheduled for the 16th and I am trying to get everything before I go in.

WOW Marcia great news on your 10 LB weight loss. Sounds to me that you are doing really well. It’s great that you are even feeling up to getting back to exercising again. Remember that even though you are feeling better your insides are still healing. Therefore, you might want to take it slow when you do. Don't jump right back in and do your rigorous exercise that you did before surgery. Good luck and please keep us posted. I hope you will be able to make this months meeting June 17. ;)

Hi Marcia,
Very nice update!!!! I am so glad to hear your progress. Just remember that your body is still healing and you shouldn't push it too much. Even though you are feeling better, your stomach is still in a very tender state and you don't want to do anything that will set you back. Your band needs time to heal and if you do too much, the band could slip. Start out easy at first then build up to the more aggressive exercise.
I like the bullets, and use the 42g ones. They aren't too bad if they are cold. You can always try different ones in a single serving before you invest in a larger size, or order.
It is so nice to see you posting and keeping us up on your progress. It helps all of the newbies to read these conversations and get information that they might not think about on their own. Keep up the good work and keep on posting.
Great job,
Jamie

Theres a place in FARMINDALE that has the pro-stat there. I just pickeds up 3 bottles on Friday. I was adjusted on Tuesday and I really had a hard time with anything BUT liquids until Sat. I tried some hummis on sat night and only about 3 tsp did it.But the scale this morning said 13# less the last Tuesday...
I posted about the pro-stat place before I don't remember the name of it Something Medical across from a Bar called the "CRAZY DONKEY"

Some one told me that they sell Pro Stat at Lewin Medical Supply on Oliver Street in Riverhead just behind Walmart. Not sure, she is a nurse and said that they have delivered it to one of her patients at home. Worth the call to see.
