Hey all you lapbanders , I was wondering does anyone have more restriction in the morning ??? Seems like breakfast is the slowest meal to go down. I dont mind it helps me eat slower and gives me a great start to the day. It actually reminds me that the band is there and working..........Now I like to wake up, have more energy, go for my brisk walk (exercise routine) eat my breakfast, get kids off to school.

Hi Connie I had the gastric and I can tell you that when I get up which is anywhere between 5am and 6am I don't feel like eating. I just want my coffee when I first wake up.

Then between 9am and 10am is when I make my breakfast. Its funny cause sometimes I can eat the two eggs that I make and sometimes it is harder to get down. I think that the reason for that is that I have too much fluid in me from the coffee. I do manage even if it takes me longer to eat it cause I know how important it is to get the protein in us.

Do you eat as soon as you get up? Do you have any coffee or Tea before your breakfast?

Hi Connie,

That is usually the way it is for too. When I go to work, I usually don't have anything for a few hours and by that time everything is up and running. On the weekends I tend to eat a little earlier and feel the restriction a little more than when I wait. I usually run out and get coffee and drink that well before I have breakfast that way the liquid is down and I can eat with out worryng about drinking or eating too soon. But everyone is different. You kind of make up these things that seem to work for you and try to stick with what works!!!

See ya,

Jamie

I'm a bypasser like Regina. I don't eat in the morning. I substitute my protien shake for breakfast. I don't feel actual hunger during the day, but sometimes when I wake up first thing in the morning I actually do. It doesn't last long just a few minutes. Then I don't feel hungry anymore. I have always thought that was strange. I'm sure it's perfectly normal, but it's cool to hear others have a different perspective.
