This weekend I did something I'd not been able to do since I was a child. I rode the antique carousel horse at Dorney Park. Now I've ridden carousels before, but always in the seat because I could never get up on one of those horses let alone be under the weight limit. My daughter took pictures. She said that was her favorite thing about the whole day, seeing my face as I rode that carousel horse that went up and down. I ran that park with her for 6 or 7 hours only stopping to eat at a 50's diner. We rode rides together and goofed off then on the ride home neither of us could get comfortable enough to sleep so we ended up talking and laughing for like 2 hours on the way home. We woke some kid behind us up so we were asked to be quiet. LOL I'd been up for 48 hours straight before we got home and made it to bed. I can't believe the energy I had all day. I just can't tell you how great it felt to be able to spend that kind of quality time with my daughter especially since we hadn't been connecting for so long. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Dr. Allam for giving me the greatest gift.

Oh Isabelle.......I'm so glad you got that time with your daughter. My daughter just came home from 12 days in ElSalvador, she went to a wedding, I have 5 kids so you would think that I wouldn't miss 1 . Wrong I missed her and worried about her every day. Now that I have 3 teenagers I can relate , it is so important to spend that one on one time with them. Let them vent, let them ask questions and also to have fun with them. Im so glad you had a great time and made new memories you will both share. Good Job !!!! Love ya Connie

Isabelle you made me smile-What a great story! Anytime connecting with a teenager is priceless-My daughter will soon be 14 and she is a piece of work-They become so self absorbed-I have to force her to spend time with her family-I guess we are so uncool. She is a good kid just turning into a selfish teenager-Like wanting to go out with her friends on FATHERS DAY!!!

I went to the Bronx Zoo last week with my sons third grade class (BTW he still loves me LOL) Three third grade boys couldn't keep up with me-That's a first! It was amazing to get on the bus to come home and realize I had a great day and I wasn't exausted and my legs felt great and energized-Not the feeling I am used to I am normally wiped out and my legs are in pain.
