I am 6 months out of RNY. I've been feeling like I can eat more than I should be able to. Last night I was able to eat a whole 9 oz weight watchers frozen dinner. It didn't hurt. I didn't feel like I was pushing it. It was under 300 calories so that's not the point. Did I stretch my pouch out already? Now, I had spent the whole day doing yard work and I was probobly completely empty, but isn't that too much food? I really did feel like I needed to eat and I didn't feel like it was too much for me. I just felt satisfied. Is this normal?

I'm almost 2 years out and have been able to eat quite well. Some days I can eat more than others. For example I can eat less at breakfast (1 egg & 1 toast) and lunch(1/2 sandwich avg.). But for dinner I can eat more (chicken thigh, 1/2 cp rice, 1/2 cp veggies or similar). I have a piece of fruit in the AM and a low cal protein bar around 4PM. Some days though I am more hungry & try to choose high protein, low cal snacks (peanuts, yogurt, etc.). Mostly though I try to stay away from useless carbs like chips & breads. I do crave carbs & it's hard to avoid them all together. Just keep in mind that we're all different and our pouches vary daily as to what they can handle or not. Darla

I am now 5 months out and definately notice I can eat more. Not alot, just more. Fortunately I am still at a point where my pouch won't allow me to go crazy. I am trying to practice self control and no snacking and keep the habit for when my appetite returns-I dread that day!!!
