Group last night

Well I finally made the group last night. :D

What a great group of people.x2

Everyone there has a commom bond through their surgeries BUT also through their own openness to share it with others.

I will try to make more groups BUT with 4 daughters and the wife my time is starting to become real thin this time if year.

It's good to talk and LISTEN too all about whatever is said or openly thought through out the night too get some discussion going.

On a personal note to the 2 ladies there who are at the point of the dession about how to proceed.

PLEASE FEEL FREE to contact me about any questions that you may and I will try to help you with some of what I have learned..

I am so glad you liked the group and are posting on the board. It really is a great bunch of people and if you ask, they won't hesitate to tell you their experiences.

The same goes for me and I'm pretty sure everyone, that if you have any questions, just ask.

Glad you were able to make it to our meeting. :) It is always great to have feed back about our meetings. It was another good one. I loved when Dr. Allam went around the room asking each of us Why did we turn to food. Everyone was so open with there feelings and felt so comfortable in telling us. Knowing that the bottom line is that we are all there for the same reason Over Eating and we all need the support of each other. That is what a support group is all about being able to talk about things in an openly friendly caring atmosphere.;)

It is also good to see you posting here again Jim and I do hope that we can get more new people posting. We all need each other to make this a successful journey.

Well I do enter the site every few days and I do enjoy reading everyone's journey. I met Regina the other day and it was nice to put a person with the picture. Hopefully I will be able to make the next meeting. Of note, I tell everyone about this surgery. I was in the pharmacy last night and was telling a friend about my surgery and this woman came over and started asking so many questions. I gave her Dr. Allams card. Word spreads fast and the more I talk about the Lap Band the more people come foward with the same issues.

I agree the more I talk about the more people tend to be interested. This is a life changing and even a life saving procedure. I'm so glad I had it done !!! Best decision in my life.

:DI COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. :DI have no problem telling anyone who will listen.

I don't go out of my way or chase down people to talk too. But when I see friends and they ask, I talk.

I have just heard from my sister in PA and she is now going too start the process for her to have it done.

THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is so good to come here and see people finally posting. Just now reading the messages today that have been posted have put a smile on my face. I am so grateful to all of you who continually come here and post and ask questions. Even with being almost 5 years out, I still find this place my safe haven and still learn things from here. I have said it before and I will say it again coming here and attending the support group meetings are what makes us so successful.

Hi everyone,

It really is nice to see everyone chatting and asking questions. That is what this site is all about, even though sometimes we just talk about anything, it helps the people that just look out of curiosity see that we won't bite, and are a good bunch of people.

It is also nice to see that the word is spreading and like I tell anyone with a question, that all you have to do is ask and we will help.
