Wondering if veggie burgers are easier to digest ???????????
While I was shopping I came across this organic isle , high protein, suasage, veggie burgers, tofu etc. Is this okay for lap banders to eat ???????
I am about 6 weeks out and have been doing great today I ate scrambled eggs for breakfast, lunch: chicken salad-(chicken from can /fat free mayo)

If anyone has any ideas suggestions or comments please post them especially on the veggie burgers, they are sounding so good to me

Hey Connie,
Sorry I haven't been on for a couple of days, I have been so busy you wouldn't believe it. It seemed like one thing after another came up and I just didn't have time to regroup. Well anyway I'm back.
As far as the veggie burgers, try them and see how you make out. I've found that even if you try one today and it goes down ok, tomorrow you may not be able to tolerate it. This is anything you eat, it's weird, but sometimes I find myself tighter than others and even different times of day can effect your tolerance. If you do try one just make sure you try it again at another time to see if it works. Sometimes I can tolerate a hamburger ( with no roll) other times not a chance. I even find it is the same with liquid at times.
Sometimes when you go shopping something really sounds good and you would die for it. All I can say is give it a try and see, as long as you follow the basic rules with eating and drinking, you shouldn't hurt anything. You are 6 weeks out and even though you are still sort of new to the procedure, you are pretty much set. Now you also have to take into effect your new fills. Don't forget that you may be able to eat something with no restrictions and get another fill, then it is a new ballpark and you will have to see if you can tolerate it again. You may have to chew even more than you did before, or maybe not. I also found for me that I would be restricted for a couple of days after the fill and then the restriction would loosen up a little. Everyone is different so all I can is just try it and see, and keep trying it if it doesn't work untill you decide if it works or not!!!!
Hope this helped,
Jamie

Connie,
I agree with Jamie. Somedays I can eat somethings and other days my stomach just can't tolerate it. Try it and see what happens. Chew well ;-)
