View Full Version : Our Picnic Date For 2008

Hi, everyone I just wanted to let you all know that plans for the picnic have been coming along. Dr. Allam paid the permit that we needed to have the use of the park. Thank you again Dr. Allam.

At our next meeting on May 20, I will have a paper for all to sign who will be attending and how many guest you will have. I am also going to post a thread here for those who can't make the meeting to sign up on the message board by leaving there name and guest amount.

You are responsible for your own food and drinks. There are BBQ grills there for our use so please bring charcoal. We have an alcohol permit if you choose to bring it. Please make sure if you or anyone of your guest decide to drink that you have a designated driver if need be. Also, remember that this is a family picnic and children will be there.

If you have children and you want to have them play some games, which we can maybe get an older child to run, please bring prizes for your children to win. I want ever child to receive a prize. If we are able to get the DJ, we can have him play some games with the children.

I think that covers it for now. If anyone has any ideas or wants to maybe suggest anything, please contact me at Bellamama256@aol.com. If there is a parent that wants to maybe provide a Piņata for the children then please let me know. It is important to me to make sure that our picnic runs smoothly this year.

Place: Indian Island Park In Riverhead NY
We have the covered Pavilion so this picnic will take place rain or shine. The Pavilion has electric and lights. The bathrooms are in close walking range for us. Parking is also not far from our picnic area.

Activities we are going to try to have: Softball game, Tug of War, Volley Ball


Entertainment: I have started to get prices for us to maybe have a DJ WE ALL MUST CHIP IN TO PAY FOR THIS IF YOU WANT TO HAVE MUSIC. The price will depend on the amount of people that come. I am in the process of getting quotes. If you attended Our Annual Christmas Party the DJ, you heard there is the company that I am looking into again. They were great and I know everyone enjoyed them since the dance floor was packed.

Come on there has to be more of us out there that wants to attend the picnic. Please go to the DJ Poll and vote there.

I will have the information to hand out at our meeting this month.:)

I can't commit just yet I have two weddings to go to and I know that one of the showers are going to fall on the same date-These are showers the I "have to" go to.

It sounds like fun.

This is to update you all about the DJ.

I have found a DJ that a friend from here has used over the summer last year. They were great so I decided to give them a call. They gave me a price of $325.00 for 4 HOURS. Which I think is a great deal. They also asked if we would be having kids at the picnic and I said YES. He then said that he would also play games with the kids and us bigger kids to. com.hap26

Therefore, what I am asking you all if you can please bring your money to this months meeting to pay for the DJ. I am going to start to collect it and it must be CASH please. I am figuring right now it to be $10.00 each. This price is being based on the fact that we will have at least 32 to 33 people. Let us keep our fingers crossed that we can get that amount of people. I know if I had to pay a little more such as $15.00 to have them I am all for that. I will be contacting him asking him to send me the contract and then I have to send him a $25.00 deposit to reserve our date with them.

I will have a list at the meeting to start to check off names of who paid me for this. If we do not collect enough money to have the DJ, (which I hope doesn't happen) you will get your money back.

Hey, everyone I am trying to find out who will be coming to the Annual Picnic. I know everyone is busy but I do need to know.

I can't book him until I have the money. Therefore, if you have a Dr. Appointment you can give your money to Carrie or Pauline there. Please do this ASAP so we can finalize it. Thanks:)
