Hi all,
Since I've known you all from the start I couldn't wait to tell you about my reaching my first personal goal. I wanted to be under 200 pounds by my birthday on May 16th. I met my goal more than a month earlier than I expected. Today I weigh 197 pounds! I weighed 286 at my highest before surgery and on the day of my surgery I weighed in at 280. I am only 4 months out and I can't believe the results already. That's almost 90 pounds! I'm going to a family event this weekend and I can't wait for everybody to see how much weight I lost. I'm hoping to encourage my equally overweight sister to do as I have done. I haven't seen her since Thanksgiving. I won't bager her, but wish me luck!

Hi Queebell,

Congrats on surpassing your goal that is wonderful and you should be excited and proud at your accomplishment.

Why don't you bring your sister to a support group meeting and let her see and hear for herself what stories we have to tell? I think it might make a difference to see these things first hand. Not only will she be able to see your weight loss, but hear about everyone's too!!

Oh, well great going, and keep up the good work.

sx Fantastic news on reaching your goal earlier then you expected. Each month when you send me your pictures to update, I am very flawed on how great you look.

Thak you for all your kind words and encouragement. My youngest daughter is very proud of me and loves to try to pick out outfits for me. We don't really have the same sense of style though. LOL I try not to make a big deal about the numbers at home because I just found out my oldest daughter is suffering from an eating disorder that I too once suffered from, binge eating. It's hard down playing my success when it is in her face everyday as she struggles with her own issues. I have her in therapy and she will continue to come to support group meetings with me. I'm thankful that I am in the posision to be able to help her now. A year ago I'd have felt like a hypocrit. I'll see you all next week at the support group meeting.
