To all the lap banders, I'm writting to get an idea of how long it was until you were able to return to normal work.

I tried to time my band for last weeks school vacation time and was held up. Now I'm trying to figure out if I can do it now with just and couple days off work or should I wait until I can take the entire week off.

Hi Jim,

I took a week off, but I was feeling better in about 4 days. I had my surgury on a Thursday so I was feeling better by Sunday. I hope this will help.

I had my lap band done on a thursday and I was back at work on monday. i was a little sore but since i have a desk job, it was ok. hope this helps. good luck

Hi Jim,

I had mine on Thursday and went back to work on Monday. It depends what you do for a living as to when you should go back. If you can take it a little easier than you normally do, you should have no problem. Just don't push it. You don't want to strain anything and possibly hurt yourself. You are the only one that knows when you are ready, just use your head. If your employer realizes that, you should have no problem.
