New Years Resolutions!

A New Year and New Resolutions.

Have you made any? If so what are they?

Here is mine.

I have decided that I am going to watch everything I eat from this day on. No more snacks or junk. I need to get back on track and lose a few pounds. This is my new years resolution to me this year. I am not going to stress on how much I would like to lose but set a small goal.

I also made a new years resolution to get on the treadmill 5 days a week.

So tell me have any of you made any New Years Resolutions?

Good luck to all of you and Have A Happy Healthy New Year!

You go my girlfriend......... you will do it.

As for my own resolutions, i have decided the i will live by two mottos this year:

#1 To thine own self be true...........

and of course my old faithfull -

#2 If you always do what you always did,
You'll always get what you always got.....
It will be my year to be true to myself, and try to be happy and proud of the decision I make and not try to second guess myself.....(with the friends i have, I dont see that happening anyway.....LOL)

I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year.........

Ok, this year, my resolution is to keep things w/in control & keeping it "simple" (I'm still trying to figure that out. hahaha). Most importantly, to at least walk everyday. This has been something that I let slip & I'm feeling the effects mentally & physically & feel like I'm falling back to my old lifestyle. NOT GOOD!!! Also, looking for another job that pays well w/benefits. Something w/manual labor. NO MORE secretarial work please!!! My thing is that I always need to keep moving. So, w/those things on my plate, I can do this.

Sorry I missed the Christmas Party. Last minute work schedule screw-up & I had to pull a double shift, but I was so there w/you all in spirit anyway.

Also, taking the girls to Gettysburg, PA w/my paranormal group the 2nd week of Feb. & Rocking Horse Ranch the following week for Valentine's Day. I'm still keeping busy w/our little planned "family" adventures.
And....I can't beleive I survived the holidays!!!! Hooray for me!!! hahahaha
as I laugh until I get on Dr. Allam's scale. Eeeeek!!!!

Cheers!

My New Year's resolution is to not spend New Year's eve 2008 at home! I've spent so much time hiding in my bedroom afraid to run into anybody I knew if I went "out." I made this resolution on New Year's eve, but now being down 50 lbs just 7 weeks after surgery I've already started to go out again so maybe it's too tiny a resolution. I'll have to work on it and get back to you. LOL

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to see Dr. Allam this past Wednesday for my monthly check-up & low & behold........I gained.........

6 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!And YES!!!! I was shocked!!!!!

I so promised Dr. Allam, but more so myself, that I will get it off & then some by my next months' appointment (which will be my 44th birthday!)

So folks, YES!! My New Years' resolution is to make sure I GO to the gym & not just pay for it. That only makes my bank account thin! hahahahaha.
Shoot! That's not even funny at this point.

Ok, no more Hillshire Farm Cheddar Wurts, chips (candy, cookies, etc.) and 1/2 bagels w/whipped cream cheese. And, I wish I could blame it on the holidays, but I can't. I think I thought if I had just a "little" & not inhale the entire package, it would be ok. Obviously not.

So, back to the drawing board I go. Not excersizing is a MAJOR part of my weight gain!

I certainly don't want to go around feeling like a swollen tick anymore, that's for sure!

Well, that being said..........Wish me luck!

Cheers!

undefinedI too have put on some weight and it is very dishearting (especially when you need to lie on the bed to get your jeans on!) It is normal to flucuate a few pounds, but if you start to put 10 or more lbs. on, it's time to start reveiwing what you're eating. Also, this time of year, we tend to be more sedentary and exercising definately makes a differece. I had stopped going to my gym and in one month put on 5 lbs. and 10 inches! I was crushed! Then I reminded myself where I was 3 years ago and how I would have killed to be the weight I am now. Please remember where you started. Most of us did this for health reasons and gaining a few won't change those benefits--It's the fitting into all that nice new clothes we bought! Your "tool" is still with you and will serve you well if you respect it. This is a journey, not a destination. We are bound to hit a few bumps in the road. Be well and look how much you've accomplished! And be sure to come to the support group and know we are all in this together!Meri 10.gif
