Hi all.......I just had my surgery last monday Nov.12th. So glad to have all that behind me. Still healing but looking forward to my new journey. I am eating what Pat recommended for this stage which is Cream of wheat, sugar free pudding and jello, strained soups not too many other things. Looking for any advise on different things I can have if anything. Also I am having a hard time with the protein. I purchased the protein shots. I have a bunch of the 25 gram ones and a bunch of the 42 gram ones. Holy cow are they nasty. The 42's are far worse but still hate the 25's. I am not the type of person to throw things out and move on so I will suffer thru them untill they are gone but would love some other better tasting ideas.
If you would rather email me feel free at ginosjoy@aol.com or here is fine.
Thanks to all in advance.
Kim

Congratulations to your new beginning of a new you. yeah its really hard to adjust to foods in the beginning, i am 7 months out of surgery and 93lbs smaller! I stuck with basic broths in the beginning and fat free puddings i really didnt have an appetite for a while. Just hang in there and as time goes by you will escalate to better foods. And congratulations to you , i promise you you wont regret it!

Hi Kim,
Congratulations to you!!!! I've had my surgery in March & am down 90 pounds & feel like a million bucks!!
I still have trouble getting the shots down. Put them in the fridge & drink them chilled. Hold your breath while you sip & put a 1/2 teaspoon of applesauce or yogurt (Yo Baby is my favorite) & swish it around before you swallow & come up for air. Beleive it or not, I still have to do that from time to time.
You'll get more grams of protein in the 6 oz.'s of bullets you'll need to take daily rather than having to drink 24 oz.'s of a thick shake all day.
I did mix it up for variety in the beginning...choc., van., straw. shakes & bullets just to break up the boredom.
Welcome aboard!!!
Cheers! Anita
